Don’t Dream It . . . Be It!

Back by popular demand, that sweet transvestite and his motley crew are coming back to The Muse Theatre this fall!  Break out the corsets and stilettos and let’s do the Time Warp again!  Dr. Frank-N-Furter is having a party and poor Brad and Janet need to use his phone.  Instead, they are treated to an evening of singing, dancing and outright craziness!

Enter At Your Own Risk!

Strong language and sexual situations.  Actors will not be asked to reveal anything (will be covered by a bathing suit/bikini), but if you are at all shy or modest, please just come and see the show (almost all characters wear a corset, panties, fishnet stockings, heels and garters).  All actors must be at least 18 years old to audition.

Rehearsal/Show Dates:

• Rehearsals begin mid-August.
• Performance Dates: 10/5, 10/6, 10/11, 10/12, 10/13, 10/14*, 10/18, 10/19, 10/20, 10/21*, 10/25, 10/26, 10/27, 10/28*, and 10/31
  * Denotes Sunday matinee (2:00 p.m.) performance

For the audition:

• Auditions will be held at the Muse Theatre
• Prepare a song (one verse and a chorus).  Preferably a rock song or song from a contemporary rock musical.
• Bring your own sheet music; accompanist will be provided.
• Scripts will be available the night of auditions only.  Be prepared to cold read for certain roles.
• Also be prepared to dance/move.

Available Main Roles (in order of appearance):

• Usherette: (Husky Rock Mezzo) Upbeat, perky 50’s style movie house usher.
• Phantoms/Transylvanians (Ensemble)
• Janet Weiss: (Pop Mezzo-Soprano) A heroine.  Lovely, sweet, and wholesome.
• Brad Majors: (Baritone/Tenor) A hero. Handsome and wholesome.
• Narrator: (non-singing role) Stuffy, authoritative and very proper.
• Riff Raff: (Rock Tenor) Creepy butler/servant to Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
• Magenta: (Husky Rock Mezzo/Alto) A very strange servant of Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
• Columbia: (Mezzo) One of Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s groupies.  Character actor, tap dancing required.
• Dr. Frank-N-Furter: (Rock Baritone/Tenor) Eccentric, cross-dressing mad scientist.  His quest is to create the perfect man for his own “needs”.
• Rocky Horror: (Rock Baritone/Tenor) Frank-N-Furter’s latest creation.  He is “the perfect man with blonde hair and a tan.”  Must be very physically fit.
• Eddie: (Rock Tenor) “One from the Vaults.”  An ex-delivery guy who rocks.
• Dr. Scott: (Tenor/Baritone) Older gentleman and a rival scientist who is in a wheelchair.  Strong character actor.
