There is nothing so grand as seeing a dream come true, which is exactly what happened to all those who attended one of the past two weekend performances of "Bat Boy the Musical" at the newly opened Muse Theater at 1353 Avon St. Vicki and Don Elwood created this wonderful theater from a dilapidated, crumbling church built in 1894. For six years, they have invested untold hours of labor, ingenuity, money and love into this building, and the result is smashing. For more of this story, click here!

Bravo! Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Bat Boy the Musical”, on a spectacular Grand Opening of The Muse, La Crosse’s newest theatre.

The performance we attended Saturday evening was outstanding! We laughed, cried and left the theatre in awe of the incredibly talented performers who inspired an immediate standing ovation. The ensemble, under the direction of and performing alongside owner Vicki Elwood, was professional quality.
“Bat Boy”, exemplifies what we can expect from The Muse in the future: daring choices of material performed by actors and musicians of the highest caliber.

Thank you to Don and Vicki Elwood for having the vision, the passion and the perseverance to renovate an old church into a beautiful, classy and unique performance space. Your labor of love is truly a gift to the La Crosse Area.
